About the speaker
Prof Budd Hall has been associated with the development of the theory and practice of participatory research since the early 1970s when he was working in Tanzania. Based at the Centre for Global Studies at the University of Victoria in Canada, he shares the UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education with Dr Rajesh Tandon, Founder President of PRIA (Participatory Research in Asia), New Delhi, India.
About the talk
This talk will focus on the development of participatory research, principles of knowledge democracy, and the recently ratified UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science.
